Los pilotos femeninos en el nuevo campeonato femenino 'W Series' obtendrán puntos para una súper licencia de Fórmula 1.
«Si de lo que se trata es de llevar a nuestros pilotos a los niveles superiores del automovilismo, especialmente a la Fórmula 1, esto representa un cambio absoluto en las oportunidades para las mujeres», dijo la directora general de la serie, Catherine Bond Muir.
The Telegraph afirma que el campeón de la Serie W de 2020 obtendrá entre 12 y 18 puntos de Súper Licencia.
Para competir en la Fórmula 1, los pilotos deben tener al menos 40 puntos de Súper Licencia.
Los campeones de Fórmula 2 e Indycar obtienen 40 puntos de Súper Licencia, mientras que los campeones de F3, Fórmula E y resistencia mundial obtienen 30.
Los campeones de Fórmula 4 reciben 12 puntos.
