El patrocinador del título de Racing Point ha negado que pudiera estar a punto de retirarse.
La plataforma de apuestas deportivas de Kenia, Sportpesa, ha tenido su licencia de operación suspendida por el gobierno del país.
«Deseamos refutar las afirmaciones de que nuestro negocio está cerrando», dijo la compañía.
«Estamos en conversaciones con el gobierno y las partes interesadas relevantes y estamos seguros de que volveremos a la operación completa pronto».
La crisis de Sportpesa sigue al presidente de Kenia, Uhuru Kenyatta, diciendo que algunas compañías de apuestas evadieron impuestos e «incluso permitieron que los niños apostaran».
Sportpesa se convirtió en el patrocinador principal de Racing Point a principios de 2019.
