El gobernador de Sao Paulo, Joao Doria, dice que la Fórmula 1 se queda en Interlagos.
En las últimas semanas, la carrera más allá de 2020 parece estar en peligro después de que los funcionarios de Liberty se reunieron con sus homólogos en Río de Janeiro. El presidente brasileño, Jair Bolsonaro, incluso dijo que un cambio a Río es «99 por ciento» seguro.
Pero el gobernador de Sao Paulo, Doria, le dijo a Terra: «La Fórmula 1 no se irá de Sao Paulo.
«Tenga la seguridad de que queda aquí.
«Había mucho deseo de Río de tener la Fórmula 1, pero no se irá de Sao Paulo. No permitiremos que eso suceda».
«Estamos haciendo un trato con Liberty para que la F1 continúe aquí», agregó Doria.
