El objetivo de Honda para 2020 es impulsar a Red Bull al campeonato mundial.
Esa es la noticia de Yasuaki Asaki, quien dirige las operaciones de Fórmula 1 en la fábrica Sakura de Honda en Japón.
Reveló que la «especificación 1.1» del motor Honda 2020 debutará en Austria el próximo fin de semana.
«Mi objetivo es ganar en una situación en la que Mercedes o Honda puedan ganar», dijo.
«Estoy emocionado y ansioso por el objetivo: ser campeón», agregó Asaki.
El director gerente de Honda en F1, Masafumi Yamamoto, estuvo de acuerdo: «Este año es un gran hito».
«Me gustaría competir humildemente para cumplir con el apoyo y las expectativas de los fanáticos, y luchar humildemente en cada carrera para que pueda sonreír contigo al final», agregó.
