El jefe del motor, Andy Cowell, dejará el equipo de F1 de Mercedes el próximo mes.
En cambio, «consultará a Mercedes-Benz AG en un importante proyecto futuro» hasta 2021, y será reemplazado por «nombramientos internos», dijeron los actuales campeones mundiales.
«Ahora es el momento adecuado para dejar mi rol y buscar un nuevo desafío de negocios de ingeniería», dijo Cowell, quien se unió a Mercedes-Ilmor para trabajar en el motor V10 en 2004.
